My passion for macrame

It all started in 2016, when I had a concussion. My doctor had recommended that I not watch television or read a book because it was too demanding for my head. Not knowing what to do with my days locked up in my basement, I wanted to find a new hobby. It was while looking for ideas on Pinterest that I discovered knot techniques for macrame. Without knowing it, I already knew how to tie knots, I just didn't know it had a name. I then used the rope that I had at home to start creating.

My desire to want to create Hibbie

After some time creating macrame using various ropes, I was not satisfied with the result. I wanted to buy the "right" rope. I searched for a long time. I tested several types of rope. I have purchased from several small companies around the world. Until I found my ideal rope. Once found, a desire to share my find with Quebecers and all people passionate about macrame was born. It was in 2020, in the middle of a period of confinement following COVID-19, that I took the time, well, I was rather given the time to take time to develop a project that was in my head. HibbieCréations went from an idea to a business. You can now buy my creations as well as materials, including the rope I use!
